Our friends at Blue Notch unveiled a sexy 2008 Autumn/Winter collection on March 12th at the Prince George Gallery in NYC. To mark the event, the gallery was turned into an underground, lounge-inspired showroom, where private appointments offered an exclusive glimpse at the new assortment for the season ahead.

Everything was so incredibly sexy. And by sexy, I mean lambskin leggings, graphic tees, woven tops, leather jackets and casual bombers. And much, much more.

In denim, holistic charcoal washes and skinny silhouettes caught my attention, but they did so with a twist of leather details or buttons along the side. (And they run a bit small, so size up just in case.)

New outerwear designs feature lightweight materials with a focus on layers – duck down-filled parkas are a perfect example.

It’s tough being a fashionable pregnant gal, particularly if you’re a petite. And most of the women I know are fed up with the selections in the maternity sections of Old Navy and Gap – not to mention those at Motherhood Maternity.

Because you gals deserve one less thing to worry about, I’ve done a bit of digging to find a few designers that are beautifying petite, trend-conscious mamasitas.

In general, you’ll find a good selection of petite-minded maternity wear at Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, and Saks. (Be sure to stay on top of the sales, though.) Also try eBay – I’ve found a decent selection of P-sized designer maternity apparel there as well.

Juicy Couture
The Juicy girls think of everything. So, of course they have stylish and comfortable maternity wear. Here, you’ll find dresses, casual tops, loungewear, denim, and more.

Milly
I’m a big fan of Milly, and I’m thrilled they offer maternity sizes. They also carry cute dresses that fall above the knee.

T-Bags
I spotted a super fashionable petite woman on Melrose in a T-Bags dress this weekend. The T-Bags maternity dresses and tops will beautify that baby bump. Plus, their designs resemble all that’s offered in their current line, but with a bit of stretch in all the right areas.

My most recent purchase was a pink wrap dress from Bebe. I’m a huge fan of wrap & shirt dress styles and this dress combines the details of both. This dress embodies the features that will flatter almost any petite frame. This will be my go-to dress to feel comfortable and look pulled together.

Plus you can make it look sexy depending on how you accessorize. For example, for a date you can wear it as shown or for a more demure look, try a basic cami underneath, pull your hair into a low ponytail, simple shoes and voila–insta chic!

I simply adore is this cute little dress by Forever 21 in my new favorite neutral for spring - grey! It’s sold as a tunic top, but is the perfect length for a petite dress. The ruching on the bust adds curves where I want them, and the empire cut creates a narrow-looking waist. For a night out, I slip on the dress, accessorize with a long, beaded necklace, throw on some silver flats, and I’m ready to go!

I’m an 8P. The dress size I bought was a medium and I purchased it at Forever 21 in West Edmonton Mall. It’s wash and wear!

My most recent purchase is an accessory for my laptop. I bought three really cute laptop skins from www.gelaskins.com. It’s a site that sells artist-designed laptop and iPod skins.
