I’ll be going to my 20-year high school reunion in Alabama this October, rocking a librarianesque gray A-line frock with wide patent leather belt and stacked-to-the-sky black patent T-straps. 20 years, I tell you. I live in San Francisco now. I need something underneath the dress to remind me that I never have to do high school again, and that I’ve got more Dita von Tease in me than all those former cheerleaders combined.

I have yet to find a corset set that looks awesome on me. I’m 5′2″ and every single item I’ve found that looks interesting tends to make me look even shorter. I’m not even sure how they manage it. That or it’s pink. Dear god why is everything pink now? Is there some requirement that feminine = pink and lace for days in marketing? Gah.

Really, it’d just be nice to look awesome in a mirror and then be amused by it all day. Besides, I work in habitat restoration and wear carhartts and tons of layers every day - you need to look cute on your days off.

My bf and I’s three year anniversary is coming up, and the bf has spent this last year dealing with me and my debilitating chronic illness…not to mention a year of grumpiness and frumpiness from my part. I’d like to thank him for everything he’s done for me this year with a nice sexy surprise. But unfortunately, I have never been able to find a corset that my little petite chest could fill out. I need something that fits me and makes me feel fabulous and sexy in for the first time this year and make my bf’s jaw drop. We both need a night off from my problems…and right now, finding cute sexy lingerie that fits and flatters my body should not be added onto my list of “worries.” Besides, burgandy looks great on my skin tone =)

so… i grew up in a really rural area where beauty always equaled busty bosoms. i always felt somewhat inadequate (and the cruel comments boys used to make about my chest certainly didn’t help).
i am older now and happily living in new york! i grew to love my body, and i wouldn’t change anything about myself in a million years! i don’t want to sound cheesy (i totally sound cheesy), but i’ve finally realized that everybody is beautiful… it’s just a matter of finding what works for you. falling in love with fashion increased my confidence immeasurably. and thanks to the internet and blogs like yours… it’s been a lot easier to find flattering dresses that show off my waist or jeans that enhance my assets.
but i unfortunately still have yet to find the perfect lingerie set… i fluctuate between a 32a/aa, and i’m so TIRED of having lingerie just hang off of me. oh lula lu, why are you all the way in california? i have had that corset bookmarked for MONTHS, but because i am a poor college student, i haven’t been able to save up enough money to purchase it… and burgundy is my favorite color! okay enough begging
