Denim trouser shorts are a must have this season. They’re flattering, not too high or too low in the waist and would look great with every summer top in my closet. Memorial Day weekend has come and gone, and yes as you might have guessed, I’ve been shopping. My recent acquisitions include purchases from The Circle in Silver Lake. I’m happy to introduce all of you to my brand new Figmint linen skirt. Its high waisted and really comfortable; I got it in XS and its perfect for the summer weather.
Also from The Circle I’ve invested in a new grey Kaj Ani cotton skirt that is amazing, and looks fantastic with all of my black sandals.

I have two old Earl Jean skirts that have been my trusty fail-safes. I got them as samples at the Earl showroom on Yucca and Ivar 100 years ago. Out of the many things in my closet I could always easily slip into one, add any top or shoes, and be set for the day.
Sadly I’ve worn my skirts out completely. And as hard as it is to say good bye, they need to be retired. I’d like to get something similar that will look great but also go with everything in my closet. Below are two candidates I have my eye on…

Our friends at Blue Notch unveiled a sexy 2008 Autumn/Winter collection on March 12th at the Prince George Gallery in NYC. To mark the event, the gallery was turned into an underground, lounge-inspired showroom, where private appointments offered an exclusive glimpse at the new assortment for the season ahead.
Everything was so incredibly sexy. And by sexy, I mean lambskin leggings, graphic tees, woven tops, leather jackets and casual bombers. And much, much more.
In denim, holistic charcoal washes and skinny silhouettes caught my attention, but they did so with a twist of leather details or buttons along the side. (And they run a bit small, so size up just in case.)
New outerwear designs feature lightweight materials with a focus on layers – duck down-filled parkas are a perfect example.
Model preview, great fashion, open bar, hip NY folks. A fun event, indeed.

My most recent purchase was a pink wrap dress from Bebe. I’m a huge fan of wrap & shirt dress styles and this dress combines the details of both. This dress embodies the features that will flatter almost any petite frame. This will be my go-to dress to feel comfortable and look pulled together.
Plus you can make it look sexy depending on how you accessorize. For example, for a date you can wear it as shown or for a more demure look, try a basic cami underneath, pull your hair into a low ponytail, simple shoes and voila–insta chic!
I simply adore is this cute little dress by Forever 21 in my new favorite neutral for spring - grey! It’s sold as a tunic top, but is the perfect length for a petite dress. The ruching on the bust adds curves where I want them, and the empire cut creates a narrow-looking waist. For a night out, I slip on the dress, accessorize with a long, beaded necklace, throw on some silver flats, and I’m ready to go!
I’m an 8P. The dress size I bought was a medium and I purchased it at Forever 21 in West Edmonton Mall. It’s wash and wear!
My most recent purchase is an accessory for my laptop. I bought three really cute laptop skins from www.gelaskins.com. It’s a site that sells artist-designed laptop and iPod skins. I think they’re really cool. Styles range from anime style, abstract art and classic paintings. If your readers are looking to dress up their gadgets this is the place!

I purchased a Cristi Conaway top at the Beige super sale. Its absolutely gorgeous. It pairs well with everything in my closet and all of my jewelry. And the XS fits perfect in the arm, bust and hip.
I just got a pair of Seven For All Mankind Flip Flop jeans from Muskat Brown. The waist size is 24 in a petite length, and the inseam is approximately 30”. They’re excellent and I don’t have to hem them!

The denim warehouse sale is back in L.A. this weekend. I attended the last sale and got a pair of dark denim Citizens of Humanity for $80 and wide leg light weight Chip and Pepper jeans for $70. They had a huge selection of size 23, 24 & 25 jeans in all lines– not to mention skirts and shorts too.
