And I come from experience. As a size 00/00P, I have stood in line at my favorite stores with the perfect skirt, dress, or pair of jeans in one hand — and my cell phone in the other. Who am I calling? My tailor. And why? Because many of the latest fashions and designers miss with mark when it comes to outfitting petites.

But, no more.

With serafina, I am devoted to helping the petite young professional (like myself) find designer clothing that fits — the first time around. serafina guarantees only the best references and suggestions. But before I sign off and pull together my shop reviews, let me say this: I hate the word ‘petite’ and the oh-so-broad sizing ideal it aims to define. The fashion industry delineates petite sizes as being 5′4″ and under. But this definition is entirely too far-reaching. As you are well aware, petite sizes encompass anywhere from 00P-12P. The current ideology gives little — if any — indication of body type, creating a vast sizing difference. Case in point, one petite may require that a pant leg of that perfect pair of jeans to be taken up, while another requires the hem to be let out — even while the other measurements are right on!

serafina will focus on sizes 00P to 4 (30AA -36A, 23-28 waist, XXS and XS) without consideration to height. However, all petite sizing will be featured.
